Joi Wasill, Executive Director
Joi Wasill is the Founder and Executive Director of “Decisions, Choices & Options, Inc.” a 501c3 non profit educational organization based in Hendersonville, TN. Since 2002, DCO has provided classroom training and prevention education for over 80,000 high school students on the topic of teen pregnancy and abstinence. Joi is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in Public Administration and attended MTSU where she received her Teacher Education training and licensure. She is a former high school teacher at Hendersonville High, and she and her husband Bill, are the proud parents of a 15 year old son and the owners of a small business. Joi became involved in the field of teen pregnancy prevention and education after going through the crisis pregnancy of a close friend’s teenage daughter. In the fall of 2002, she started the educational program, Decisions, Choices & Options at one local school in Sumner County, TN. The program now reaches over 85,000 students all over the southeast each school year.

Cindy Bean is a self- employed accountant and has been in business since January 1999. She is married with 2 grown children and 7 grandchildren(4 by birth, 2 by marriage and one through adoption). She is honored to be part of an organization that values life as DCO does.
Dawn Gregory, Past Board Chair 2012-2017
Dawn is passionate about the mission of DCO and about seeing the organization grow to reach more students in other areas of our state and country. She is a community volunteer, mom, wife, and respected leader in the Hendersonville community.
Susan C. Allen, Past Board Secretary
Susan is a retired Human Resources professional who devotes countless hours to the DCO program. She oversees the board of directors and is involved with agencies partnered with DCO in curriculum presentations & training. Susie and her husband, Bob, enjoy their children, grandchildren, travel and mission work in Africa. They reside in White House, TN.
Rhonda Nason, Past Board Chair
Rhonda brings the experience and expertise of 24 years as a labor and delivery nurse to the board of the DCO program. She is instrumental in the oversight of the medical accuracy of the content as well as heading up a major fundraising event each year. She and her husband are the parents of two wonderful children and live in Hendersonville, TN.
Stephanie has worked in counseling, education and crisis pregnancy work for over 25 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board of DCO.
Tammy is an Obstetrical Nurse with many years of experience and has a passion for seeing young women know the truth about each of the options facing them in an unplanned pregnancy. She has first-hand experience dealing with families in crisis situations and will be a tremendous asset to the mission of DCO.
Wende Rutherford is a lifelong resident of Middle Tennessee and a graduate of both Austin Peay State University and Cumberland School of Law. She is an attorney in private practice and has worked her entire life in areas devoted to serving the best interests of children from Cumberland Hall Psychiatric Hospital to the Department of Children’s Services of TN. She and her husband were foster parents and she serves as a volunteer on the Davidson County Foster Care Review board as well as serving on the board of DCO and one other local nonprofit organization serving children and youth. She and her husband, Paul, have 4 children and 1 grandchild.
Paul A. Rutherford has lived and worked in Middle Tennessee all his life. He has practiced family and adoption law for over 25 years, and is married with 4 children. Paul is deeply concerned for our community’s youth and is committed to the support of this and other local ministries. His family is connected to numerous local churches and attends Midtown Fellowship.
