Rhonda Nason, Former Chair
Susan is retired from a career in social work and Human Resources. She stays busy with many volunteer activities, spending time with my grandchildren and traveling.
Susan has been a supporter, helper and board member of DCO for many years. and watched the program grow and flourish. She says she was originally attracted to the program since it is abstinence-based and gives factual information about the humanity of the developing life in the womb. She also applauded the fact that DCO also educates on the importance of considering both short and long-term consequences for the mother, father, baby, family, and nation in choosing abortion, parenting or adoption.
Since two of her grandchildren joined the family by adoption, she was pleased that adoption was presented as an option to consider and liked how the program educated about what adoption looks like today dispelling the outdated and inaccurate adoption myths. She is impressed with the results of the presentations where students come to an understanding of the impact of the consequences of premarital sex.

It included the high school where her grandson attends It touched her heart deeply to know that he was hearing the truth about important decisions and the choices that are so important to his life. This immediately made her want to be a part of what DCO was doing.
