The program now reaches over 85,000 students all over the southeast each school year.

Susan Allen

Susan is retired from a career in social work and Human Resources. She stays busy with many volunteer activities, spending time with my grandchildren and traveling.

Susan has been a supporter, helper and board member of DCO for many years. and watched the program grow and flourish. She says she was originally attracted to the program since it is abstinence-based and gives factual information about the humanity of the developing life in the womb. She also applauded the fact that DCO also educates on the importance of considering both short and long-term consequences for the mother, father, baby, family, and nation in choosing abortion, parenting or adoption.

Since two of her grandchildren joined the family by adoption, she was pleased that adoption was presented as an option to consider and liked how the program educated about what adoption looks like today dispelling the outdated and inaccurate adoption myths. She is impressed with the results of the presentations where students come to an understanding of the impact of the consequences of premarital sex.

Tammy Higgins
Tammy is an Obstetrical Nurse with many years of experience and has a passion for seeing young women know the truth about each of the options facing them in an unplanned pregnancy.  She has first-hand experience dealing with families in crisis situations and will be a tremendous asset to the mission of DCO.
Ann Buchanan

Since 1984 Ann has made her home in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Ann is a REALTOR with RE/MAX Elite of Hendersonville. She was awarded the Keller Williams 2014/2015/2016 Sales Team of the Year, as well as Sumner County’s 2015 & 2016 BEST REALTOR.

A friend and board member of DCO invited Ann to a lunch and learn early in 2016. There she heard how DCO was making a difference in the lives of young people in the school system in the area. It included the high school where her grandson attends It touched her heart deeply to know that he was hearing the truth about important decisions and the choices that are so important to his life. This immediately made her want to be a part of what DCO was doing.

Ann has experience of serving on a real estate association board for 6 years. She understands the importance of the decisions made as a board member and counts it a privilege and an honor to serve on the board for DCO and looks forward to serving as long as needed.
