Spooky Statistics

OCTOBER IS HERE!

Can you even believe it?! We have been incredibly busy this past month! Our staff has visited 11 schools already since August speaking to students about the benefits of waiting until marriage, the consequences of engaging in non-marital sex, and how our decisions determine our destiny! If you have been following us the last couple months then you know at DCO we like to have themes for each month, all while bringing  YOU factual information about some of today's "BUZZ" topics amongst teens, and even adults.

For the month of October, we decided to go with "Spooky Statistics!" Informing students, parents, and community members with statistics related to teenage sexual involvement and pregnancy! So look for some post with stats you may or may not even know about!

Something else to be looking for this month:

We will be releasing a blog post for the month of October, twice a week, giving parents resources on how to help their children choose sexual integrity! What we found through research is that teens say their parents are the ones who MOST influence their decisions about sex, so we want to make it a priority to make sure the parents who follow us have resources on how to go about handling that topic and having open, healthy conversations about abstinence.

THIS SATURDAY!

Main Street Festival is an annual event in downtown Gallatin. Though it is the oldest of their two events, it has grown in size to over 200 vendors and in excess of 25,000 visitors! The Main Street Festival is a rain or shine event. Gallatin’s Annual Main Street Festival on October 6, 2018, is in its 34th year and has become a destination the first Saturday in October for not only the community but for our vendors.

They host over 200 arts, crafts, non-profit and a few commercial vendors, have local entertainment performing throughout the day on two stages, have a large children’s area and a food and eating area for the community to purchase something to eat and sit and enjoy the event.

So come! Grab a water, play some tic-tac-toe and enjoy a day with the family! We can't wait to see you there!
